Brief History


Kintampo senior High School (KINSHS for Short) was established and housed in a private house at old kyeremankomah on Friday 15th October, 1971 with a student population of thirty-two (32) made up of 29 boys and 3girls with three male tutors. Years later it was absorbed into the public system. The school moved to its current location in November 1986 under the headship of Madam Alexandra Yiri-Erong. It is a co-educational institution. Two prominent natives, late J.B. Mensah and Madam Dora Agyei were instrumental in the founding of the School.

It’s central purpose is to provide a broad secondary education and a sound moral training for the young boys and girls of the country.”PEACE, LOVE, PROSPERITY” is the motto of the School.
